DESCRIPTION:Featured Artist:  Connie Hirschman Shorb. \nConnie started drawing as a child\, continued through her school years and began working in mixed media before it was called mixed media.  She spent several years designing and creating computer pixelated designs at a time when computers were still new technology. That period greatly influenced the geometric design approach seen in her work today. \n“ I’m most comfortable working with a variety of mixed media to create multiple types of non-objective designs. My canvasses exhibit a balance of colors\, forms\, and textures. The two-dimensional canvas is developed with flexibility\, movement and attention to detail based on a variety of surface treatments. I use basic design principles\, pure color\, geometric forms and even sculptural effects to create a “visual experience”. My artwork is something significant in itself\, not an imitation of life. And of course if anyone comes between those times you can expect a special one-on-one reading just for the little ones. \nParents and Grandparents bring the kids on down for the fun!  We will also be serving free hot cocoa\, hot apple cider\, coffee and of course our famous Firehouse Popcorn! \nTJ Farrell grew up in Colorado and has made Wenatchee her home for nearly 30 years. She makes up silly little rhymes at the drop of a hat and inappropriately inserts them into conversations. This book was a labor of love\, inspired by everyone who ever showed her a picture of their pet\, and the amazing diversity of the canine world. She also acts in local theater\, makes over-the-top Halloween costumes\, does voice acting\, podcasts with her friends\, and enjoys playing Dungeons & Dragons and video games.\n\nAram Joao Mestre León and Almir Ulises Mestre León are twin self-taught illustrators based in Las Tunas\, Cuba. Since a young age\, they’ve been drawn to the world of storytelling and self-expression through colorful images\, and their artworks often contain elements of fantasy.
