Local quilter and artist Althea Gyde – owner of Blue Heron Quilting Longarm Studio and Leavenworth Quilt Company – presents a captivating exhibition exploring the depth of the color spectrum through an inventive mix of artistic mediums: watercolor\, acrylics\, block prints\, gel prints\, quilting\, & embroidery. \n\n\nAnchoring this exhibit is a series of six art quilts inspired by “Watercolor\, Dye\, Grid”. Each of the six pieces started with a watercolor painting experiment and ended with an art quilt composed of Althea’s hand-dyed fabrics.   \nDiscover Althea’s inspiration for her work\, her diverse preferences for creative mediums\, and a curated collection of finished works involving paint\, fiber\, texture\, and color!
