DESCRIPTION:Featured Author: Matthew Pippin. \nMatthew Pippin will be at Ye Olde Bookshoppe with his latest book for the First Friday Art Walk\, Feb. 6th\, 4-6 p.m. \nKisses From The Moon is the story of Carlos Hernández\, an artist in New York City\, who gets more than he bargained for when one of his models goes off the deep end and becomes obsessed with a relationship that isn’t there.\nOnce the model is permanently out of Carlo’s life\, the real horror truly begins as a series of paintings depicting 15 cryptids begin their hunt for the artist.\n\nMatthew Pippin was born in Wenatchee and finds his happiness mostly in the performing arts. After finding a manuscript that he completed when he was 24\, he published his first book\, Nine Strangers\, in 2023. Kisses From The Moon is his fourth book\, and more stories are on the way.\nAlmir Mestre León is the cover artist based in Las Tunas\, Cuba.

DESCRIPTION:Featured Artist: Martha Flores. \nMartha Flores was born in El Salvador\, and came to the USA when she was 15 years old. She has a Masters in Fine Arts\, Painting\, and Sculpture; and an MA is psychology. Martha was a mental health counselor for 30 years\, and always did art in her spare time. After her divorce in 1982 she started writing poetry\, and wrote her first book in Spanish\, “Piel de Barro\, Skin of Clay”. When her brother\, Miguel\, died of the terrible disease AIDS\, she wrote a second book for him\, also in Spanish. Her third book is in English. “The Immensity of our Essence”. Since retiring she has dedicated herself to writing poetry\, painting\, teaching\, and sculpting.

DESCRIPTION:Featured Artist: Celeste Crown. \nCeleste Crown (real name: Crystal) has lived in Wenatchee since birth.  Her time here in the valley gave her an appreciation for art of all kinds\, which she’s pursued since she was a small child.  All these years later\, this has manifested in making various custom items\, from handmade stickers to decorated coin purses and hats\, as well as the occasional print or painting as she sees fit.  She’s excited to be able to finally share these creations with the rest of the Valley at the behest of Ye Olde Bookshoppe.
